To The Ends Of The Earth

Yay!

Im finally back from bloody Outward Bounds. Omg i got lots of stuff to write on. Hai this is gonna be long. Ok. Here goes...

.

Day 1:

Left from school to Punggol where the OBS registration shit is. Bleagh. Hmm. Got into groups and stuff. Omg i was so happy with my group kinda but they had to split us up cause my group had too little people. But anyway, the group i ended up posted to was alright(: Hmm, boarded a boat to bring us to Pulau Ubin where OBS is situated. The OBS camps. Got there, unpacked the store and whatever crap. All the tents, life jackets, helmets, all the stuff. Omg i tell you, pitching a tent just sucks a lot.And we had to take it down and put it back up each day. Bleagh. Had to do belaying but it started to rain so we went indoors to do it instead. We all felt like crap and missed home so badly. We just needed our technology.

Day 2:

Um. Got up super early to do morning pity. Omg damn suck. Bloody instructor from one group is such a bitch. We had to do push-ups on the road and some stupid idiots obviously couldn't do 20 straight so we had to restart and restart. Some of our hands ended up bleeding or something. Gah. Hmm. Went kayaking to another camp. A nicer one i guess. But the toilet wasnt as good. 3 showers only. Bleagh. Hmm. Had some briefing for our Sea Expedition the next day. Gonna kayak for like 7 kilometres straight. Around Pulau Ubin then through some river. Thats it. Went to sleep in the bloody tents.

Day 3:

Hmm. Got up really early cause we had to leave for our expedition early so that it would be high tide and the current would be with us. Got up at like say, 4am? Bleagh. Bathe changed whatever. The left in the kayaks at like 7am. Kayaked and kayaked through the sea, super long until we reached the entrance to the river. I hate f**king mangroves i swear. Bloody hell man. Damn irritating those damn things. My kayaked scraped one and freaking red ants dropped down. Damn shit. Anyway, got out of the river really fast. So we made it to yet another camp in good time. And this time this camp didnt have any shit at all. No proper water at all.

Day 4:

This time we had our Land Expedition. had to trek all around Pulau Ubin to find stuff and walk back to Camp 2, the one on the first day. Anyway, left from that crappy camp and walked all the way to the east of Pulau Ubin. The end is called Chek Gawa or something. Down there you can see dolphins sometimes and stuff. Really close to Changi. Hmm. We practically burned all of the other groups. We were just too fast for them. Anyway, after that had to go up to the highest point of Pulau Ubin. Which is like only 60 metres above ground. We kinda ran up instead. Haha. The view up there was awesome. Oh, and the group with the bitch instructor didnt have to climb up but instead had to say where the tallest tree of Pulau Ubin was. Stupid instructor was too tired to climb up. Lazy bum. So the sped up in front of up but because we were so fast we caught up to them. In the end, they took a wrong turn somewhere and we went the correct way back to the camp(: Haha record time!(: Got back earlier than everyone else. Got the stuff done super fast and we could sleep relatively early. 1 more day!

Day 5 ( Last Day(: ):

Anyway, got up to unpitch the tents and clear up. Morning pity again. Not that tiring though. Just some 5 BX thats it. Area cleaning and some discussions. Certificate of completion whatever. Really fast and we could go home already.

Got on the boat again to go back to Punggol where we bough souvenirs and went back to school. Taxi-ed back once i reached. Old Chang Kee!

.

Ok. Bleagh. Must be really boring. but it was alright. Fun here and there. I ended up liking kayaking a lot. Hmm. Omg. I love mosquito coils! Haha. My favourite shit there. Burn those stuff like mad. Those things can kill you. Gives you lung cancer 30 times faster than cigs. Bleagh.

.

Anyway, as promised.

It has only been 5 days,
But to me,
It just seems an eternity.

Each second of everyday,
you were on my mind.
On land, or in the sea,
You were always there to guide me.

Wherever i was,
You were beside me,
Showing me the way,
Right to the end.

Trekking or kayaking,
You gave me strength to carry on,
To persevere,
And to reach my goal.

Looking into the horizon,
Watching the sun set,
Walking along the beach,
You lifted my sorrows.

Aches in my back,
Strains on my shoulders,
15 kilo backpack,
You lightened the burden.

Currents against me,
Paddles getting heavy,
Mangroves in abundance,
You kept me safe.

Looking up into the stars,
Thinking of you.
At that point of time,
One shot across the sky.

Now we just got to lift that burden from you,
Let it go.
Ill always be there,
To the Ends of the Earth.

All ive got to say is,
My dear,
Ive missed you.
